Vaccinate a dog against the deadly rabies virus
£3.00
Thankyou for this kind gift.
In Sri Lanka 20 to 30 human deaths occurs annually due to rabies and mainly due to exposure to infected unvaccinated dogs. The main reasons for deaths in Sri Lanka is non-vaccination of dogs against rabies and not receiving post exposure treatments, although these are free in government hospitals. It is 100% preventable. The fear of rabies also contributes significantly towards animal cruelty and dogs being rounded up indiscriminately. So vaccinating dogs against this deadly virus not only saves human and animal lives, but ensures community dogs are better accepted and not demonized.
